Charging into the alternative fuel marketplace with an award winning electric car, General Motors naturally thought of Burston Marketing when they decided to develop an e-commerce merchandise program to complement and further enhance the Volt brand experience. Working closely with the Volt brand managers at GM, Burston quickly developed a web site and began selecting merchandise and apparel that reflects the Volt's green qualities and new innovative energy technologies. Product ideas were chosen for their "green" qualities such as those items using repurposed, sustainable or natural material (e.g. bamboo tees and canvas totes); or employing alternative technology (e.g. solar-powered or hand-cranked flashlights). Traditional and popular products such as posters and die cast were part of the merchandise mix as well. By taking into consideration the Volt end-user, Burston continues to provide General Motors with the right mix of high quality and innovative products that capture the spirit and essence of the Chevy Volt: Innovation.
